Ellison Psychological Services is a private pay practice. This approach allows us to offer high-quality, individualized psychological evaluations without the restrictions commonly associated with insurance billing or managed care. By working outside of insurance networks, we are able to provide assessments that are fully tailored to your needs, completed in a timely manner, and focused on what is best for you or your child. Private pay gives you greater flexibility, faster access to services, and full control over your personal health information. Many clients appreciate the added privacy that comes with this model, as private pay evaluations are not automatically shared with insurance companies or entered into permanent medical records.

Assessment costs typically range from $500 to $2,000, depending on the type of evaluation and the complexity of the referral question. More focused evaluations, such as those designed to answer one specific diagnostic question, are usually on the lower end of this range. Comprehensive evaluations that explore multiple areas, such as autism, ADHD, and learning concerns within the same assessment, tend to be on the higher end. Every evaluation is unique, and we are happy to discuss your specific needs and provide a personalized estimate. We accept major credit and debit cards, as well as HSA and FSA payments. If you are interested in seeking reimbursement through your insurance, we can provide a detailed superbill upon request. This document can be submitted to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement, although we do not bill insurance directly.
